Nice restaurant, with classy interior and friendly service. The Kotobuki menu was definitely worth its value. The Nigiris were first class really, just perfect. Everything was delicious! Want to come back again soon for the Sushi!

In terms of taste, there is a lot of pleasure there. The quantities are an engaging and filling dimension; the staff's professionalism is really great; all the tables were cleaned properly and the chairs were extremely comfortable; I found the command to be extremely appealing.

At our request, the Sakura team came to our home and so we not only received catering for the finest Japanese cuisine but also a homecooking event in a familiar, homely atmosphere. For us it could not have been better prepared and carried out. We and our guests were and still are enthusiastic about the polite, friendly and courteous manner, the smooth contact, the uncomplicated arrangements and the perfect food. Here the guest's every wish is fulfilled. It was a fantastic evening with outstanding, authentic food of the best quality. The Sakura team will see us more often!

It is consistently fine and we had a wonderful afternoon here. The chairs are very comfortable and I think the distance between the seats is extremely reasonable. There you don't get the feeling of eating fish in a can in the evening. The service is always very personable and very courteous. We really enjoy that every time we visit. Inexpensive, varied selection of dishes and drinks. I and my girlfriend were really delighted to have finally found a place in our area that we can still afford to this day at the end of the month without restriction.

I have tried almost "almost" all sushi places in Aachen / Kreis and this one is by far the best Japanese! Above all, this is a real Japanese (gourmet) restaurant with a really great and high quality menu. Excellent quality of the food (there is even class 5 Wagyu beef), the fish was excellent, very friendly and attentive service, a (classic Japanese) simply furnished restaurant with a very quiet and pleasant atmosphere. Really top and my new favorite for AC !!

Best restaurant in Aachen! Alone as the food prepared in loving detail is a pleasure to watch! Unfortunately, it costs more than the visit to other restaurants, but you can tell at the first bite, that the quality absolutely justified the price!

I and my wife have rarely eaten as well as here. The dishes are excellent and the ingredients are of the best quality. There is also a good selection of Japanese drinks. Gladly again.

Amazing service

It really feels like an authentic Japanese experience, which is to be expected since it's run by Japanese people. They are friendly and helpful and their chef is also great. Just a bit expensive for it to become a place people visit often, but definitely a must-visit for Sushi lovers who are visiting the town.

Excellent Japanese food, the salmon avocado salad was a revelation in its subtle marinade. Very friendly service staff, the food may seem a bit high-priced, but are worth every penny - we look forward to the next visit!

We have been here twice now and were always thrilled with the food. The negative reviews of the service are a mystery to us, as we were both times very courteous, polite and extensively hosted. The young man on the first visit has explained to each of us at our table the individual components and answered very expert and friendly all questions, especially my first-time offenders. The drinks came quickly, the sequence was just right. We will not just leave it for a third visit.

Great authentic japanese food

That this great restaurant has just come on the radar ... But you always look towards the city center, if you think about good food. You will even find it on fire, -D We each had the 5-course menu and have deliberately chosen as many dishes as possible. Great food. An incredibly nice and professional service. All around a great evening and we will now also go to the fire more often very good food, -)

Amazing Japanese cuisine in a nice atmosphere. Had the 5 course menu and every course was an experience in itself. The sake tasting in the beginning opened my eyes to the fact that there are sake I really like. Won't be the last time here.

Out of curiosity we went without reservation to eat a piece and we came out happy. Gourmet and refined. Nothing to say excellent we return as soon as possible. And the staff and bosses are adorable, always pampered.

We went it Japan a few years back, and loved the food there. It was great being back at a Japanese restaurant that has the same high standards. It was great being there, the food was very good, and the staff very friendly. A rare gem in a small town. I highly recommend going here.

It was a classy place with delicious traditional food from fresh ingridents. With the addition of the lovely service it was a great japanese cuisine experience for me and my wife.

Amazing!!!! we have eaten : sushi 6 pieces and roll, wakame salad, fish, and sashimi. -Sushi's are beautifull presented, fesh, wonderfull equilibrated taste... -The homepickled Ginger are perfect!.... -Variation of fresh, high quality ^products, nicely presented…. - Service is absolutely friendly and attentive for the clients' needs. - allergie : the chef made it possible to eat gluten free, pepperfree, dairy free, eggfree and red meat free!!!! An excellent experience, we certainly go back next time we are in Aachen...

It was my first time of having the pleasure of dining at Sakura tonight and it is already among my favorites. Usually I refrain from writing a review before having tested a restaurant twice to avoid bias, but the meal and service were so utterly satisfying that I can safely skip this rule. The restaurant is dominated by humble yet elegant ornamentation, the focus clearly directed towards the food and meal as a ritual, as the big teppan grill in the first room/counter top dining area suggests. The staff is welcoming, very caring and highly observant and, as common in Japanese culture, makes the customer easily comfortable to enjoy a treat I can only describe as carefully executed. Which brings me to the most important part of the review. We delighted in a six-course meal resembling many aspects of Japanese cuisine, all in all guided by a subtle striving towards perfection. The core theme lies in very high quality ingredients and letting them tell their story, accompanied by gentle amounts of condiments that work to enhance the pure fragrance and taste without distraction. It is incredibly satisfying to taste a single piece of top quality tuna or salmon melting on the tongue, knowing that the typical entourage of Wasabi and soy sauce are completely optional. Yet trying a different piece with faint amounts of the freshly grated, shining green root does not let the spiciness overpower the mellow, natural taste of the fish. The same goes for the rest of the meal. Meat and fish is usually cooked so precisely to the point that it's already satisfying just to look at the arrangement on the eye-pleasing pottery and plates and every course of the dinner is a dance between elegance, innovation and tradition. It's a wonderful experience that lets one feel and taste the chef's passion for his craft and is well worth the money. I am already looking forward to my next visit and send my highest regards to friends and family, and a satisfied 'thank you' to the staff and owners.

I had Teriyaki Salmon and it was Oishii!!!! It a was authentic Japanese food. I heard they will have Ramen soon, then I don't need to go to Düsseldorf for it..

Today we had a delicious, traditional Japanese lunch at Sakura. The restaurant is definitely the best traditional Japanese restaurant in Aachen and reminded me of family restaurants in Japan. The employees were very kind and we will absolutely visit this lovely place again!
